Simulation Scenarios

A simulation scenario is a rather grand name for a group of parameter values that describe a particular set of circumstances for your site. This may be a decade of fair rainfall before a series of three or four really very bad rainfall years, or five years when market beef prices were very good.

With the scene set, you can then ask "Well, what if ..." questions, hypothetical questions that you can use your model to try to answer and perhaps in doing so, get to know a bit more about your system. Infact, knowing those questions before you start can help setting up your simulation scenarios because you will already know what you will want to include in your model, e.g., the number of animal types, etc.

To get you started there are some example projects packaged with the modelling software.
