Text Output

You can choose from a range of static format files or define your own output selecting from the full list of variables in your model. Also note that you can export some of your graphical outputs as ascii text. These are the Grids and the Resource Matching Plot and Piosphere Plot.

Static Format Files

A general default model output file holds key variables in your model. You can request its output in your Preferences. At the end of each year of your simulation, summary statistics are saved to this file in the following columns (all values are annual totals unless stated otherwise)

Year - current simulation year
yr - current virtual year (start year + simulation year)
Seq - position of year in rainfall sequence
Rain - rainfall /mm
Evap - evaporation /mm
Transp - transpiration /mm
Drain - water lost from the system as deep drainage /mm

In addition to this general output log, each module has a set of ascii files for you to choose from. These were historically used to test the modelling software's responses during its development, but are now useful sources of data from your simulation. There are some overlaps between the file contents but each file was constructed to reflect a certain group of the simulation processes or to follow calculations through a section of the iteration cycle.

User Defined Output using the Output Selector

Every variable in the model is available for your output. Use this User-defined Output Selector to request your variables in your chosen sequence. Also get summary statistics summed over days, months and years.
